Lynette Evans

Lyn has always and very keen interest in art and still remembers the thrill she felt as a child on first seeing Sir Arthur Streeton’s paintings.   The opportunity arose to take up painting after her children began school. Lyn studied life drawing at TAFE and then tonal painting with Bruce Bates at the Peninsula Arts Society.   Through this Society she joined many workshops and classes covering portraiture, flowers and landscapes in all mediums.

Her favourite tutor has been Colin Johnson.

Lyn is a life member of the Peninsula Arts Society where she organised workshops, demonstrations and classes for many years. These activities all being  conducted by very well known artists.  Lyn is also a member of the McClelland Guild of Artists.

Believing that artists need inspiration and stimulation to keep improving, Lyn still attends demonstrations and art groups.

Lyn has been part of the Guild Gallery since it first began in 1991. Her paintings have been represented both in Australia and internationally over a number of years.
