Jacqui Simpson

A love of drawing and painting has been part of Jacqui's life since childhood. At a very young age she experienced a strong connection with nature in all its wonderful forms and enjoys expressing land and seascapes in oils, occasionally venturing into more contemporary styles and mediums as the mood takes her.

While mainly self-taught, Jacqui has in later years undertaken an number of short courses and workshops to increase her knowledge and build on existing skills and is currently participating in tuition with John Bredl.

She enjoys travelling throughout Victoria and Australia with like-minded people to indulge her love of nature and increase her skills in plein air painting.

A member of the Peninsula Arts Society, McLlelland Guild of Artists and the Studio 12 Group of Artists she exhibits in various art shows and Red Hill and Healesville markets aside from the Guild Gallery where her work has been purchased by many local and overseas collectors.

 Her awards include: Best Seascape Derinya Art Show 2010; 1st Prize Moorooduc Paintout Exhibition 2010 and Encouagement Award Peninsula Arts Society 2010.
