Doreen Grey

Doreen believes “painting is a vitally absorbing activity and a passion.   For both the artist and the viewer, art opens our eyes to our surroundings, revealing our interests and our focus in our environment.”

Doreen is particularly interested in plein air painting, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Australia and in particular of the Mornington Peninsula.   In earlier days she was a keen bush walker and cross country skier and now painting gives her similar opportunities to appreciate the outdoors.  Doreen works in oils and acrylics and may sketch with pen and wash.

As a member of Peninsula Arts Society, Studio Sorrento and Peninsula Plein Air Painters, she enjoys the company of like minded artists.   She has a Dip. of Teaching with a major in Art, a B.A. from Monash and a Grad. Dip. of Librarianship.

Paintings by Doreen are available from the Guild Art Gallery at Tyabb and from various Rotary Art Exhibitions.  Doreen’s paintings are in private collections around Australia and overseas, giving pleasure to the owners.
