September - October 2022 Newsletter

At least all this rain is keeping our artists indoors and painting!!! I suddenly realised that it is time for another newsletter as we change our Blue Feature Walls to showcase two more of our talented artists. Time is galloping along and for the next two months we will be showcasing the work of Maureen Lynch and Jacqui Simpson.

Maureen's passion for water and light is evident in her work, as she tries to capture the atmosphere and ever-changing light in her seascapes and landscapes. She loves the diversity and beauty of the Peninsula and enjoys plein air painting when the weather permits. Her focus is on composition, balance, colour harmony and tonal values. She is always learning and attends workshops as often as possible in her creative journey, with her prize winning paintings selling here and overseas.

Jacqui is an award winning artist whose love of the natural world shows in her art. She works in oils, acrylics and also mixed media. Her evocative paintings capture the moment and reflect the landscapes she loves.

Spring is almost here and hopefully our solar panels will see more sun and less rain. La Niña is apparently staying with us for another year but a bit more sun would be nice!! It's always better weather on the Peninsula, so come visit us to celebrate Spring.
