August - September 2021 Newsletter
What a terrible time we have experienced over the last couple of years! Our gallery has been closed for a large part of that time and we are not on top of covid yet I fear. Our artists have been busy with their art during lockdowns and we have a new and exciting variety of offerings and some new artists as well! We also have a freshly painted interior and new lighting to brighten our day, so come down and have a look. We'd love your company… and our heater works!!!
Our feature artists for the next two months are Janice Blees and Norma Macpherson.
Janice has always had an interest in art and began painting in acrylics and watercolour after retirement. She enjoys depicting a wide range of subjects.
She has travelled locally and overseas and paints plein-air subjects as well as from her own photographic references.
Norma has painted in most mediums but now paints mainly in oils. She has won numerous awards and her paintings have been sold both locally and to overseas buyers. She began painting in NSW and attended many classes run by notable artists. She has lived on the Mornington Peninsula for the last twenty years.
