Where did our summer go? We had a couple of wonderful weeks of balmy autumn, then we were plunged into winter. I feel cheated!!!
The good thing is that we have a freshly painted gallery with a whole lot of new paintings AND A HEATER!!! Come down to Tyabb and enjoy the work of our two new feature artists, Lyn Evans and Sandra Karick whose work will be on the two blue walls for May and June.
Lyn is a Life Member of Peninsula Arts Society and has painted in every medium over the years. She is now enjoying using inks on yupo. She likes the vivid colours and finds the unpredictable nature of this medium is a challenge to her imagination.
Sandra has a natural affinity with the Australian landscape and seascape and enjoys the challenge of capturing its essence and spirit. Representing the reality of emotions and things around us in an impressionistic way is important to her and she constantly strives to paint a large range of subjects, with different mediums, in order to satisfy her creative urges.
We are one of the luckiest countries in the world, even more so now with our covid control and the freedom it brings back for us. Enjoy your freedom and come down for a visit. We'd love to see you again.
